Relational Intelligence is about understanding that authentic human connection isn't just a "nice to have" in business - it's foundational infrastructure. In an AI-driven business landscape, the companies that will thrive are those that use AI to amplify (not replace) human connection. I believe that "relationship moats" create sustainable competitive advantages that technology alone can't replicate.

I've developed what I call the Five Signals that make up Relational Intelligence:

  2. Presence - Being genuinely engaged, not just physically present
     

  3. Empathic Structuring - Flexing your style to connect effectively with different people, while building care and boundaries into work
     

  4. Connection Capital - Working through challenges together rather than in silos, investing in trust that compounds
     

  5. Human Differentiation - Understanding how everything connects while keeping the human element central, bringing uniquely human qualities to leadership
